Low Calorie Moong Daal ke Pakode/Moong Tikki Recipe for Weight-loss
|Ingredients:
- Moong daal with skin (chilke wali)- 200 gms
- Ginger- around 10-15 gms
- Green chillies- 3
- Turmeric powder- 1 and a half teaspoon
- Coriander powder- 1 and a half teaspoon
- Coriander leaves- 1 bunch
- Salt as per taste
5 medium size tikki comprises of around 150 calories.
Soak moong daal in enough water for around 4-5 hours at least in a bowl.
You will observe that the quantity of daal has increased as water gets absorbed in daal. Drain water from daal and grind it in a grinder. The paste needs to have a rough texture and not fine soft paste like.
Take a bowl and add all the spices including turmeric powder, coriander powder, chopped coriander, chopped green chilly, finely grated/chopped ginger, and salt.
Mix all the spices well and your paste/batter is ready.
Now take a nonstick pan and apply/brush oil to the pan. Place the batter we prepared to the pan with the help of a spoon and flatten it. Close the lid for 1 minute and turn it around when it becomes golden brown. Cook properly from both sides.
